I created this community, For the Love of Batiks, so that I could share my creative process of designing batiks, but also for you to share your projects and ask questions!

#1 Visionary

​I adore exploring applications of color, texture, and motifs. By being immersed in the processes of making batiks, I'm able to bring new and innovative approaches of these beautiful works of art to the quilting world. I enjoy using those in projects I create.

The creative flow is a constant for me. Whether it's 3 a.m. on a Tuesday, or on a connecting flight to who-knows-where, I've got my pen and paper at the ready (and my coffee too). But wherever and whenever it may be, I push my designs to be truly authentic, with a little touch of "me".

# 3 Inspired

I'm inspired by the small things of every day, to the large awe inspiring creations by both mother nature and man made. I enjoy the history of textiles, am always inspired by the processes used to create them and find it satisfying to translate that into my projects.

Exploring projects with collections of batiks--yes collections! I believe batiks should be shown in collections to make it easy to create stunning projects! I like to see how well they work together when selecting for a collection
